TOUR DE PALM SPRINGS
Organized by the same organizers as the Patriot Ride for Our Heroes, this event will be February 7 - 8th in Palm Springs. This is another opportunity to get involved in a chapter fund raiser.  We will be there to recruit new members and accept donations for the Wounded Warriors.

1ST BN / 7TH MARINES AWARDS CEREMONY
LtCol Seth Yost, CO, has announced that a ceremony will be held on 18 February to award 2 Silver Stars and 2 Bronze Stars for four Marines heroism during their last deployment to Afghanistan.

The 1/7 is currently scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan at the end of February.  We had the honor of hosting 100 of their Marines to our annual barbecue last November.

MITCHELL PAIGE MOH CHAPTER PLAQUE
We need to recognize Harry Zielger and thank him for the outstanding  job he did in preparing the plaque. It was presented to the chapter at the January meeting.

Ziegler oversaw the design, procurement of medals, awards and photos which he secured through Marine Corps Hdq.  He donated a lot of his personal time to make this plaque come out so well.  The professional framing really finished it off well.  The plaque will be displayed at the Chapter monthly meetings.

The plaque is the property of the Desert Cities MPMOH Chapter.
