JENSEN’S ANNUAL FUND RAISER
We did one helluva job in November & December with our Christmas Fund Raiser.  It was impressive to see how thirty members  volunteer to work this fund raiser.
Jim Larsh and Dick Partee worked the most shifts and were recognized at the Christmas Luncheon by Matt Zack, Jensen’s.  George Stettler was also recognized for bringing in the large single donation of $1,000 from Tom & Rita Martin.

Due to our members support we were able to donate $10,000  to the young enlisted families of the 7th Marine Regiment.  The families selected were those deemed in need of some extra help for Christmas by the Family Readiness Officers in the regiment.

The fund raiser also enabled us to purchase $7500 in Christmas Turkey Dinners for 153 families of deployed Marines fighting in Afghanistan and for families of the Wounded Warriors Detachment at 29 Palms.  The dinners were delivered in a Jensen’s refrigerated truck to insure freshness of all of the food.  Matt Zack, VP, personally drove down from Lake Arrowhead to drive the truck from Jensen’s Palm Desert to 29 Palms for the delivery, Sunday, December 23rd.
